Small Starter Grant supported Mina Kim on US research trip
Dr Mina Kim, Senior Research Fellow in the Quantitative Imaging Group at University College London, was awarded a BIOREME Small Starter grant in October 2022. The grant funded travel and accommodation costs of a research visit to Philadelphia in February 2023. Mina has written the following summary of her activities on this trip:
A Mathematical study group with industry
The study group provided an interface between companies, clinicians and mathematicians to develop mathematical tools and challenges set by Industry.
Undergraduate Student Internship Funding
BIOREME have funding to support undergraduate students to carry out internships in summer 2023. The application deadline is 31st Jan 2023.

BIOREME joined school careers week
Dr Carl Whitfield, Dr Anne Canning and Dr Katherine Pitrolino (Medical Research Council), spent the afternoon on 10 November at Fernwood Primary School, Nottingham, with 150 enthusiastic year 5s as part of their “Careers in Science” showcase.
