🏅BIOREME Small Starter Grant Awards

We are pleased to announce the latest recipients of our Small Starter Grants, supporting early-stage activities that foster collaboration, develop new skills, or enable participation in key scientific meetings.

Hossein Shamohammadi (University of Warwick) has been awarded funding to present his poster, Digital twins to investigate deadspace washout in high-flow nasal cannula therapy, at the 38th Annual Congress of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) in Munich. This activity will help build connections between clinicians and biophysical modellers and support further development of mechanistic approaches in critical care.

Lauren Ketteridge (University of Warwick) has been awarded funding to undertake research visits to the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory in Salisbury and the Centre for Blast Injury Studies in London. These visits will deepen understanding of experimental data generation and support prioritisation of future computational modelling studies in pre-hospital respiratory medicine.

If you have an idea for a visit, workshop, collaboration, or conference activity, applications for Small Starter Grants are open now.
