We are delighted to invite you to the next webinar in our series where we will be joined by Dr Mina Kim, University College London. Details on our speaker can be found below.
Title: Mapping lung function with advanced MRI methods for clinical translation.
Abstract: Chronic lung diseases are a significant global health concern, causing ventilation obstruction, interstitial barrier dysfunction and potential irreversible damage. Existing clinical methods for diagnosis and monitoring suffer from restricted precision, subjectivity, and invasiveness. Functional lung imaging offers a promising solution to non-invasively characterise quantitative regional lung function and address these limitations. In this talk, I will present novel functional lung MRI methods with potential for clinical translation. Additionally, I will share my experiences and insights gained throughout the fellowship applications.
